I've joined 24 hour fitness. Have a bodybugg, and a personal trainer. Been working really hard. When I started at the gym, on my home scale I weighed 204. Now I am down to 200.
When I started, I was doing 30 min on a treadmill, no weights..I was working at only 2.8 mph. Now, I am doing 45 min on the treadmill, at 3.3 mph. :)
When I started, my knees could not withstand the lunges that my trainer wanted me to do. They are somewhat strengthened now. I can do lunges. It is also easier to go up and down my staircase. :)
When I started, I could only lift about 5 lbs when doing tricep excercises. Now I am up to 8 lbs. :)
I see progress. I still have pain in my hips and thighs, and some in my knee. This all has to do with my chondromalacia. This is a knee disorder where the femer and the knee cap do not align. It's painful and my hips and thighs as well as my knees throb sometimes. But, I am in the process of fixing that. The doctor says that strenghthening my hips and quads will fix this disorder. :)
I am very motivated, and my trainer, Derek, helps keep me that way. I see him 2 days a week now, and he always has something to challenge me with. Pushing me a little further. I like that. I need that.
My husband is so supportive of all this. Why wouldn't he be. He is the next in line to benefit from this. ;)
The next weigh-in and measurement is Wednesday. I shall blog more when I find out. :)
The above pic was taken about a month and a half ago. When I started. I will have to have another pic taken now. By the way, I am the one in the red coat. :)
